Sputnik photographers to explore former Soviet nations

So this is one of the coolest things I’ve seen on crowfunding platforms this week.

Sputnik Photos photographers want to fan out across Asia to former Soviet nations of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to find out what life is like 25 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall.

With one week to go, their all-or-nothing campaign has raised about 61 percent of a $25,000 goal to pay for five members of the Sputnik Photo collective to make the trip.
